A unique outdoor educational and recreational Centre on the banks of the Ngamuwahine River. Approximately 30km from central Tauranga.

Owned and administered by the Ngamuwahine Camp Trust based at Tauranga Intermediate School. The Centre provides all weather access and modern comfortable accommodation for up to 50 people

Ngamuwahine is a wonderful campsite. It is the direct result of much labour, love and financial commitment by parents and teachers of the school since the late 1970s. This facility is therefore highly regarded and its location so handy to the city makes it a valued asset to our community. Situated on the river's edge and within 200 metres of the Kaimai Mamaku State Forest Park it provides an excellent environment to study the delights, peace and tranquility of being in the outdoors away from the city.

The Lodge is not just a School facility. It is used frequently by organisations such as Outdoor groups, Business motivational & team building groups, Scouting groups, Family groups and for retreat purposes by a number of organisations. Weddings and other functions are held on the premises.
